2020 Lamborghini Huracán Evo RWD Coupe and Spyder First Drive: Fun Redefined

By Christian SeabaughMotorTrend

“Had this been a typical Lamborghini press drive, I’d be writing this 2020 Lamborghini Huracán Evo RWD review after blasting around a far-flung racetrack,” road test editor Chris Walton wrote in our Huracán Evo RWD First Drive a few months ago. Instead, thanks to 2020, he spent his time piloting the new “entry-level” Lamborghini alone around some of Southern California’s finest driving roads.

2020 Nissan Leaf Plus Driving Notes

By: Jeff Perez Published by: Brandon TurkusMotor1

The Nissan Leaf still has what it takes to compete in this now-tougher segment.

Even with a mere 73 miles of range, the original Nissan Leaf was a pioneer. It was one of the first mass-market electric vehicles you could buy here in the US and helped ease buyers into electrification. But with more companies debuting better alternatives to the Leaf – like ChevroletFordTeslaPolestar, and others – Nissan’s all-electric hatchback struggles to capture the same attention and share it once did.

Nevertheless, the Leaf is a better vehicle following its 2017 facelift, which included improvements to both the range and looks. The base version now drives up to 149 miles with its standard 40-kilowatt-hour battery pack, while a 62-kWh battery gives the Leaf Plus a range of up to 226 miles if you order the light, frill-free S trim. Three of us recently spent time in a Leaf Plus (though the SV model with a 215-mile range), and while it may no longer be our first choice, it’s still a solid option in a booming segment.

Fastest SUVs In The World For 2020-2021

By: Brett T. EvansMotor1

These 20 hot-headed haulers give sports cars a run for their money.

Hot sport-utes are more popular now than ever, tracing their lineage back to our favorite examples from the ‘90s: the Lamborghini LM002, GMC Typhoon, Mercedes-Benz ML55 AMG, and Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. But unlike those slightly crude progenitors, today’s fast SUV must also be able to handle corners like a sports car, cruise over bumps like a limo, and offer plenty of space for packages and people.

The 20 high-riding haulers on this list represent the fastest and sportiest SUVs on the market today. Some feature hybridization, others are all-electric, some have six cylinders, and some twelve. There’s a variety of sizes and styles, although they all have one thing in common – they’re each pretty spendy (though some are Brooks Brothers and some are Burberry). Each entry on this list offers its own spicy take on the fast SUV formula, with different priorities for virtually every power-obsessed utility buyer.

Fastest Pickup Trucks For 2020-2021

By Jeff PerezMotor1

These 16 powerful trucks have lots of pickup.

Here and now in 2020, there are a lot of ways to go fast. But absurd speed isn’t just for supercar and sports car owners anymore. Many companies now offer performance SUVs – the quickest of which we’ve on our fastest SUVs story – and a handful of those same brands even have performance pickup trucks, too.

You’re probably already familiar with fast factory trucks like the Ford Raptor and Ram TRX. But our definitive ranking of the fastest trucks available in 2020 and 2021 also includes aftermarket options from specialists like Hennessey and Shelby American, with some of those options offering hypercar-esque amounts of power. There’s even a thoroughly modern EV represented too.

So if you’re in the market for something with stupid straight-line speed, but all the same towing and hauling capabilities you expect from a truck, maybe one of these pickups is right for you.

2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited

By Jeff PerezMotor1

A stylish and fuel-efficient sedan – the Sonata Hybrid is a winner.

Looking for a great all-around family sedan? Start your search with the 2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. This stylish four-door ticks all the appropriate boxes: fuel economy, comfort, technology, and price. It even offers some features you won’t find elsewhere in the segment, like an innovative solar roof. And it’s all available for just $36,430 as tested.

But for the sake of nitpicking, there are a few things we think Hyundai could do slightly better. For one, there are more dynamic options in the class, plus the transition between gas and electric should be smoother. And for as much as we like having the solar roof, Hyundai only offers it on the range-

2020 Audi SQ7 First Drive Review

By: Brandon TurkusMotor1

An eight-cylinder engine makes a triumphant return to Audi’s largest SUV.

Back in the blissful days before turbocharging, supercharging, and all other replacements for displacement, Audi introduced its first SUV. The three-row Q7 arrived in the US in 2007 armed with one of Volkswagen’s famed VR6 engines, a 3.6-liter, or a variant of the near-legendary 4.2-liter V8, which had already distinguished itself in the S4, RS4, and R8. As powertrain lineups went, this was a good one.

And like all good things, it didn’t last. 2011 marked the end of the 4.2-liter’s run in the Q7, and since then, this crossover has been predominantly a six-cylinder affair, first with supercharged V6s and then turbocharged engines (a four-cylinder turbo is also available, but we don’t recommend tasking a 248-horsepower engine with managing 4,800 pounds).

2020 Genesis G90 3.3T

By: Jeff Perezmotor1

The Genesis G90 is an affordable, appealing alternative to the established crop.

You know the major players when it comes to full-size luxury sedans: AudiBMW, and Mercedes-Benz – you might even be able to throw Lexus into the mix. And there’s a reason those brands are so successful: because their full-size options are very good. But of the outliers, the 2020 Genesis G90 might be one of our favorites.

Not only does the new Genesis G90 look great (even if this latest model is just a heavy facelift), but it does almost exactly what its competitors do, only at a more affordable price. The G90 is stylish, luxurious, and loaded with some really good tech – all for under $80,000 as tested.

2020 Porsche Macan Turbo: Pros And Cons

By Brandon Turkusmotor1

The Turbo badge makes its big return to the smallest Porsche SUV.

Following its refresh for the 2019 model year, the Porsche Macan reintroduces the Turbo model for 2020, offering consumers even more power and performance in an updated package. The twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 (also featured in the Macan GTS, as well as the Cayenne and Panamera) is a familiar companion, working alongside a seven-speed, dual-clutch transmission to help scoot the smallest Porsche SUV to 60 in as little as 4.1 seconds.

Best Full-Size Sedans to Buy in 2020

By Michael Floyd – MotorTrend

There used to be a time when the full-size sedan was a must-have for any automaker and a common sight on American roads. But thanks to the rise of the SUV, with extra cargo space and higher ride heights, big four-door sedans fell out of favor with families, and the segment has been shrinking rapidly since.

That said, there are still a few top full-size sedans left on the market at the affordable end of the price spectrum. (The cars covered here don’t include big-buck luxury models like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.) They all have big trunks, plenty of room in the cabin for five, and ample power. They’re not going to blow you away with their handling prowess, but that’s not the mission of the best big sedans.

The full-size sedan has always been geared toward getting family, friends, and business associates from point A to B in comfort and style.
