2020 Honda CR-V Review: Does This Top-Seller Deserve Top Marks?

By  CARL ANTHONYAutomoblog

The 2020 Honda CR-V comes to the party with plenty of feathers in its cap. Our contemporaries in the automotive press hold the CR-V in high regard and we agree with them. That’s not to say the CR-V is perfect, but it’s pretty close based on our week-long test drive.

2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody Review: More Hip, More Grip

By: Jeff Perez : Motor1

The Dodge Charger follows the adage, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” to a tee. The platform is old by modern vehicle standards, but Dodge’s seemingly annual release of new trims, special variants, and more powerful engines ensures the dated four-door feels fresh year after year. And the 2020 Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody model is no exception.

The Hellcat Widebody is pretty much the same Hellcat we saw five years ago, only now it’s slightly wider and a bit grippier. Dramatic changes these are not, but the extended fenders and better ruber are just enough for us to fall in love with this 707-horsepower sedan all over again.

2020 Cadillac CT5-V First Drive: More Like V-Sport

By: Brandon Turkus : Motor1

Let’s establish one thing right off the bat: I was speeding. No question about it, the Michigan State Trooper had me and the red 2020 Cadillac CT5-V dead to rights, clocked at 91 miles per hour in a 70. I (futilely) argued I was keeping pace with the light traffic and that whatever speed I was traveling at was safe for the sunny, dry, calm conditions and freshly paved highway. It didn’t matter – I’ve already mailed in the citation for “Speed Charged: 75/70” and a $115 check to the state of Michigan.

My colleagues were less than sympathetic. But then one member of the editorial peanut gallery chipped in with this comment: “Did you tell her the V isn’t really a V anymore?”

2020 Genesis G90 Review: More Than a “Generic Brand” Luxury Car

By AutoMoblog

Our contemporaries in the automotive press have praised the Genesis G90, and we feel compelled to join them in that cadence. The G90 is a simple recipe: one part new technology, one part old school motorcar. Put in the oven (assembly plant) and bake. Let cool at a lower MSRP than the rest of the market.

2020 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante: Superlative

By: Jeff PerezMotor1

A V12-powered convertible with scary speed.

Head west from Florida’s Atlantic beaches and eventually you’ll find Alligator Alley. The four-lane, 80-mile stretch of pavement cuts a direct path through the Everglades (so, you can probably guess how it got its name), connecting east coast to west. And even in a state notorious for its boring roads, the arrow-straight Alligator Alley is duller than most – so it takes a truly extraordinary car to appreciate it at all. Say, a six-figure convertible hailing from the U.K.

The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante is that car. With the East Coast in our rearview, we head west toward the Alley in the torque-loaded, 211 mile-per-hour British bomber. And once there, the Aston converted this monotonous Florida highway into its own personal drag strip, keeping mind of state troopers along the way.

What Are the Safest SUVs For 2020?

By Alisa PriddleMotorTrend.

When you think of the safest SUVs out there, you probably think of Subaru, Volvo, maybe the seemingly indestructible Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen, a massive Suburban with miles of steel and space for protection, and a reliable Toyota or Honda for good measure.

In this feature about the safest SUVs for the 2020 model year, you might be surprised to learn that Mazda, a small-ish Japanese carmaker, tops the list with three of the safest offerings on the market for the 2020 model year, according to the main third parties that test these vehicles.

2020 Hyundai Sonata SEL Plus Review: Resurgent

By: Brandon TurkusMotor1

The Hyundai Sonata has been sold in the United States since 1989, but it was anything but a hot commodity until 2011. Then, in those halcyon days, Hyundai rolled out the sixth-generation Sonata, the most attractive product the company had ever built, which single-handedly changed the perception of Korean cars. And while the “fluidic sculpture” design language filtered through the rest of the Hyundai line, the seventh-generation model landed for the 2015 model year with dull design and a lackluster driving character. It was a big lump of “meh” after several years of “wow”.

2020 Mazda 3 Long-Term Update 2: Takes From Tahoe

By Erick AyapanaMotorTrend

Before a recent road trip to Lake Tahoe, my friends and I debated between taking my long-term Mazda3 or my buddy’s new Volvo XC90. Somehow, I won. They were eager to relax in the fancy and spacious Volvo, but I convinced them that the Mazda3 would be nearly as comfortable. And for the most part, they were happy. Here are five things that stood out from our road trip

2020 Toyota Yaris XLS Hatchback: Adorable, Affordable

By Jeff Perez – Motor1

The 2020 Toyota Yaris Hatchback is part of a dying breed. It’s one of just a handful of five-door subcompact hatchbacks you can still buy new in the U.S., accompanying the Chevrolet Spark, Kia Rio, Mitsubishi Mirage, and soon-to-be-discontinued Honda Fit in the slow march toward irrelevancy. But Toyota might just have the most fun option of the bunch, because it’s not actually a Toyota at all.

The 2020 Yaris uses the not-for-North America Mazda2’s sporty underpinnings, a peppy 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, and Mazda’s decent infotainment system. The XLE Hatchback we tested even sports faux leather seating with real leather accents on the steering wheel and shift knob. And you can get it all for under $20,000.
