2021 Hyundai Elantra Sedan First Look: The Compact Goes WAY Upscale

By Kelly LinMotor Trend

There is a lot to like about the current Hyundai Elantra sedan, including its lively steering and abundant safety features. But it is a middling competitor in the compact sedan space, hampered by its unrefined powertrains and a so-so interior compared to the segment-leading Honda Civic sedan, to say nothing of the luxurious Mazda 3.

It’s too soon to tell whether the all-new 2021 Hyundai Elantra will move the needle overall, but just looking at it, the four-door appears to have taken several huge steps forward in terms of refinement, looks, and aspiration.

2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid First Drive: The Most Powerful CR-V Is Here

By Miguel Cortina – Motor Trend

The irony couldn’t be more real. As I was driving a 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid from Tucson, Arizona, to Los Angeles, President Trump announced the U.S. was buying barrels of crude oil after its price plummeted nearly 30 percent in one day.

Although the move was made in an effort to boost the economy given the novel coronavirus outbreak and its effect on markets around the world, gas prices have been relatively low in the U.S. for a number of years, and Trump wants them even lower. Oil prices were at their lowest in over a decade, and here I was, driving the first hybrid SUV Honda has offered in the U.S.

2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio First Test: Aging Well

By Mark Rechtin Words; William Walker Photos – Motortrend

We scribblers in the auto-journalism business so often concentrate on the latest, greatest shiny thing that we forget about something truly great that was all-new just a few years back. As such, the 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio‘s midcycle freshening allows us to reevaluate this sweetheart SUV.

2021 Chevrolet Traverse: First Look at the Big Three-Row’s New Look

By Kelly LinMotortrend

The Chevrolet Traverse flies further under the radar than most mid-size three-row crossovers, but that doesn’t mean it has little to offer families. Along with a quiet ride, it boasts sharp handling and more cargo space than its competitors—mostly because it’s huge. (And buyers looking to haul people and cargo will never turn down more space.)

Chevrolet‘s current Traverse has been around since 2017, and after giving the SUV a few tech upgrades last year, it is fully refreshing the rig for 2021.

BMW X6 xDrive30d review

By Vijay PattniTopGear

This is a rational, objective assessment of a car that has, in its previous two generations, sold upwards of 443,000 examples worldwide. Had it only sold about four, we could discount it as an irrelevance. It pains us to say this, but people seem to like this kind of car.

See? We said ‘kind of car’, not ‘this exact car’, which means we’re not being overly vindictive against the X6 for being… this kind of car. Things like the GLE Coupe and Cayenne Coupe and so on and so on. They sell. More than four, too.

Bentley Continental GT review: is the V8 more fun?

By

By Stephen Dobie – TopGear

It’s the Continental GT V8. It is, in essence, the entry-level Bentley Continental, priced as it is from around £150,000, a whole 11 grand less than the big-boy W12 while nearly 80 kilos skinnier. I want excess though, right? Well, this is hardly a Dacia Sandero where ‘entry-level’ means black rubber bumpers and a gaping hole where there ought to be a radio. A ‘basic’ Bentley really isn’t basic at all. This is still a stupendously well-appointed vehicle, and its 550bhp 4.0-litre V8 isn’t what you’d call meek.

2020 Audi S4 First Drive: Perfectly Packaged Performance

By Alisa Priddle

There is something very Goldilocks about an Audi S4. The compact sport sedan is just the right size; the turbocharged V-6 is powerful and lusty enough to offer a thrill while still serving as a comfortable daily driver, and the Audi-caliber interior is just premium enough without dipping into a luxury coma that might threaten to lull the senses.

For the 2020 model year, the S4 gets a significant refresh—enough change to warrant a trip to Palm Springs, California, and a drive through the desert to see how the new S4 stands up.

2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Review

By Carl Anthony – Automoblog

In some ways, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is hard to quantify in terms of a normal car review. Some will call it a dream machine of the highest order, others an impractical and expensive box on wheels. A vehicle of this caliber is purely an emotional decision, but if this is your unicorn, it will be worth every penny.

The culture that surrounds Jeep is really something. I have friends who venture out to Moab for the Easter Jeep Safari every year and put thousands of dollars into their Jeeps. I have another friend, a retired Chrysler employee I go to church with, who is a loyal Jeep enthusiast. Almost every person you meet with a Jeep has some sort of emotional connection to it.

2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport First Drive Review

By Beverly Braga

As the U.S. market continues to favor crossovers and SUVs, the new Atlas Cross Sport is a competitive entry into the midsize segment

Shipping out to dealerships now is the new 2020 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport, to which I know you’re thinking, “Yay! Another crossover!” Competing in a class the EPA classifies as “compact”, there’s nothing small about the Atlas Cross Sport…nor the Ford Edge, Honda Passport, or Jeep Grand Cherokee with which it competes. Product planners may also consider the Chevrolet Blazer, Nissan Murano, and Toyota 4Runner as viable players in the conference.

Affixing “Cross Sport” to the three-year-old Atlas must mean the two vehicles are related, right? Indeed. As we previewed in October, VW builds the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport on the same line at its Chattanooga Assembly Plant. The midsize Atlas replaced the Touareg in North America, and the Atlas Cross Sport replaces…that’s a good question.
