2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer RS: Make New Trax

Chevy’s sub-compact replacement is vastly better to drive and live with.

I would recommend the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer to a friend. That’s a big deal, considering there isn’t a world where I’d suggest the Chevy Trax. If they said to me, “Hey Brandon, should I buy a Trax or try to get to work on the back of this feral donkey?” I’m voting for the ass. While the Trax may be less stubborn than a wild pack animal, at least the donkey wouldn’t cost so much while offering so little.

Chevy’s previous subcompact crossover was too pricey for what it was – when I drove the refreshed 2017 Trax, the as-tested price sat just a smidge under $30,000. And you did not get a lot for your money – a wheezy turbocharged four-cylinder, a shoddy cabin, an ugly exterior, and a ho-hum roster of equipment, the highlight of which was Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Those ills, among others, conspired to produce a deeply unlikable car that, nevertheless, could still manage to do the bare minimum customers would ask of it.

A Brief History of the Chevrolet Corvette

By Christian Seabaugh MotorTrend

Everything you need to know about the Chevy Corvette.

Countless barrels of ink have been spilled and many dozen forests of trees have been felled telling the tale of all eight generations of the iconic Chevrolet Corvette. We’re as guilty—if not more so—as anyone. But let’s say you only have a passing interest in the history of America’s sports car but not the time to read a book or scan Hot Rod‘s in-depth C1-C7 generation breakdowns. That’s where we come in. You have Shift Talkers to watch, and I have a short attention span—so here’s the history of the Chevrolet Corvette.

From the first-generation C1 in 1953, through the current eighth-generation C8 that launched last year, here’s everything you need and nothing (hopefully) you don’t.

Chevrolet Trailblazer First Drive

By Scott Evans – Words; William Walker – Photos – MotorTrend

Rescue-Blazer: Saving a friend, their kids, and their stuff from a bigger broken-down SUV and the desert.

One of my oldest friends had bid farewell to her husband just weeks prior as he deployed overseas. They’d packed up the apartment in Miami and shipped most of it back to our hometown on California’s Central Coast with the help of the Air Force, but her, the kids, and her car needed to get across the country in the middle of the pandemic. They’d considered flying, but between the health risks and the cost of both plane tickets and shipping the car, she elected to drive. Two kids under seven, a 7-year-old Ford Escape, and 2,500 miles: What could go wrong?

Chevrolet Blazer vs. Chevrolet Traverse: What’s the Difference?

By Nick Yekikian – Words – MotorTrend

We compare two sizes of $50,000 SUV from Chevrolet to see which is best for you.

We’ve tested the Chevrolet Blazer extensively since it was released in 2019. At our SUV of the Year competition, the RS trim impressed us with good road manners and a high-quality interior, but we were disappointed that those traits didn’t extend to the base offering. More recently, we had another go in the Blazer RS, and instead of comparing it to the competition, we thought it best to look within Chevrolet‘s own extensive lineup of SUVs to see how it stacks up against the larger but similarly priced 2019 Chevrolet Traverse Premier FWD (front-wheel drive).

The Blazer and Traverse are not direct competitors, and as such, this isn’t a classic MotorTrend comparison test. We typically try to match cars up within their segments. That’s why the Ford Mustang gets matched up with the Chevrolet Camaro, not the Alfa Romeo Giulia. But Chevy recently ditched sedans in the United States, meaning that, like Ford, it’s going to be filling our streets with SUVs of all shapes and sizes for the foreseeable future. As such, you might want to know which sub-$50,000 Bow Tie-badged SUV is right for you.

2021 Chevy Corvette C8 First Details Emerge: Find Out What’s New

By: Adrian PadeanuMotor1

The Magnetic Selective Ride Control will become a standalone option.

The GM-UAW strike had a negative impact on the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette as availability of the C8 was hampered by a delay in the start of production. Not only that, but the initial model year for the mid-engined ‘Vette took another hit because of the coronavirus pandemic, forcing General Motors to stop production at the Bowling Green factory at the worst possible time considering the immense demand the sports car is enjoying. Customers can no longer order a 2020MY Corvette, so all eyes are now on the 2021MY.

Aaron Bradlee Adams, a member of the C8 Corvette Owners forum on Facebook and salesperson at Simms Chevrolet in Clio, Michigan, has stumbled upon what appear to be some of the changes that are in tow for the 2021 Corvette. The following info was sourced from the Global Connect Order WorkBench, a software that dealers use to place orders for new cars.

2021 Chevrolet Traverse: First Look at the Big Three-Row’s New Look

By Kelly LinMotortrend

The Chevrolet Traverse flies further under the radar than most mid-size three-row crossovers, but that doesn’t mean it has little to offer families. Along with a quiet ride, it boasts sharp handling and more cargo space than its competitors—mostly because it’s huge. (And buyers looking to haul people and cargo will never turn down more space.)

Chevrolet‘s current Traverse has been around since 2017, and after giving the SUV a few tech upgrades last year, it is fully refreshing the rig for 2021.
