Ford Bronco Sport vs. Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport vs. Subaru Outback Wilderness vs. Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road

It used to be if you wanted an off-road-capable compact SUV your search began and ended with the words “Jeep Wrangler.” Love it or hate it, the iconic Wrangler (and its CJ forebearers) have during the last 80-years set the standard for go-anywhere mobility. While in years past, Wrangler rivals have been similarly constructed off-roaders like the Ford Bronco, Land Rover Defender, Mercedes-Benz G-Class, and Toyota Land Cruiser, more recently, factory-modified crossover SUVs have begun gunning for the Jeep, too.

2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Plug-In Hybrid First Look

By Greg FinkMotorTrend

eep continues to expand its Wrangler SUV’s powertrain lineup with the arrival of a plug-in gasoline-electric hybrid option for 2021. Dubbed the 4xe (that’s pronounced “four-by-E”), the Wrangler’s latest powerplant joins the model’s 285-hp 3.6-liter V-6, 270-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and 260-hp turbo-diesel 3.0-liter V-6. As with the latter engine, Jeep limits the 4xe kit strictly to four-door Wrangler models.

Thanks to the combined effects of its turbocharged 2.0-liter engine and two electric motors, (one 44-hp starter-generator in the engine bay—dubbed eTorque by Jeep—and a second 134-hp unit integrated within the eight-speed automatic transmission), the 4xe produces a peak 375 hp, or 90 more than the Wrangler’s next most powerful engine option. Torque, meanwhile, peaks at a plentiful 470 lb-ft. That’s an additional 28 lb-ft of twist relative to the available diesel engine—impressive indeed.

Jeep Grand Wagoneer Price

By: Anthony AlanizMotor1

Today, Jeep revealed a concept for a much-needed addition to its lineup – the Grand Wagoneer. It’ll be the pinnacle of the Wagoneer family, which will boast three rows of seats, tons of luxury and technology, and, according to a new report from Car and Driver, a hefty price tag.

The publication interviewed Jeep president Christian Meunier who said the standard Wagoneer would start at around $60,000 while the range-topping Grand-Wagoneer will reach six figures. That’s quite a spread, but it sounds as if Jeep is positioning the Wagoneer family to compete against several different competitors. According to Car and Driver, the Wagoneer is expected to compete against both Ford and Chevy, and Lincoln and Cadillac, like the Suburban and Navigator.

Ford Bronco Vs Jeep Wrangler – See Each State’s Favorite Off-Roader

By: Anthony AlanizMotor1

Battle lines are being drawn. Reservists are being activated. The battle between the Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler is just beginning. And, like most things online, will never go away. With the new 2021 Bronco making plenty of waves since Ford revealed it last week, there’s been plenty of attention paid to the SUV’s trick features and off-road capability. And a lot of that time has been spent comparing those features and specs to the Wrangler.

While the Bronco won’t go on sale until Spring 2021, there’s plenty of excitement online. PartCatalog.com decided to take to Twitter to determine which of the off-road SUVs is generating the most buzz in each state in the US. Then, the company compiled it into the map above where you can see which state leans Bronco and which ones favor the Wrangler.

2020 Jeep Gladiator Interior Review

By Christian Seabaugh – Words, Brandon Lim – Photos – MotorTrends

More than just a repackaged Jeep Wrangler. A lot of talk on pickup trucks is focused on how well they tow or haul. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is no exception. Since it hit the streets a year ago, we’ve taken it overlanding on the Mojave Road, loaded its bed with horse mats, and bolted a 4,000-pound trailer to its hitch, among other things. One area we haven’t focused enough on is what it’s like to live with the Jeep Gladiator‘s interior. Although easy to dismiss as just a Wrangler cabin with a bed, there’s a lot more to the Gladiator’s interior than that.

2020 Jeep Cherokee Interior Review

By Miguel CortinaMotorTrend

After almost seven years, the Jeep Cherokee’s interior still feels up to date.

It’s no secret that the automotive industry moves fast, with fierce competition in every segment. It’s normal for vehicles generations to be replaced every five or six years, bringing new technology on board and under the skin, as well as better safety technologies. Jeep introduced the current-gen Cherokee as a 2014 model at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. In early 2018, the SUV got a midcycle refresh that provided its interior and exterior with a younger vibe.

We recently spent some time in the 2020 Jeep Cherokee, and we were pleased with its roominess and the quality of materials throughout the cabin.
