The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is here, and it packs a powerful Hellcat engine and some of the toughest suspension bits available. And just by looking at the numbers, we can already tell that the TRX is going to be one badass truck; 702 horsepower (523 kilowatts), 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds, and a top speed of 118 miles per hour. But Ram isn’t the only one with a tough pickup on the block.
Even though the current Ford F-150 Raptor is on the way out in place of an all-new model, the Blue Oval still puts up a fight against the Ram TRX (at least, on paper). Even though it only packs 450 horses (336 kW), the Raptor still manages a 60 time of about 5.7 seconds and tops out at around 107 mph. In terms of outright, straight-line performance – the Ram TRX and the Ford Raptor match up pretty well.
